Experience the deep river of melody and emotion that washed the sorrow from the souls of the millions pioneering who made America strong and free -- a deep river of song that caught up the best tunes from every hand and linked them with the stubborn convictions and the most poignant longings of all the people. Southern Journey brings to life the Lomax archives with compelling authenticity, exuberance and soulfulness. If you enjoyed the film ‘Oh Brother Where Art Thou’, if you've been moved by the old African American spirituals, or been touched by the music of Leadbelly, Robert Johnson or Woody Guthrie, Southern Journey is a must-experience!

The first in a series of three extraordinary concerts presented this season by the Colorado Musicians Consortium and the Brighton Armory. Tickets prices are:

$15.00 Adults , $12 Students/Seniors for Southern Journey, or $40.00 for our entire season: including Southern Journey Sept 12th, Phantom of the Opera: Dark Duet Oct. 10th, and The Bach Project Nov 21st at 4 PM.
