Telluride Jazz Celebration Announces Final Festival Lineup

July 27, 2010 | Telluride, Colo., – The annual Telluride Jazz Celebration, held August 6-8, has announced the final festival lineup for this year’s event. A complete celebration schedule can be found at www.telluridejazz.org/schedule.htm.

* This year’s headliners include: Festival Guest of Honor Toshiko Akiyoshi; Dianne Reeves; Stanley Clarke Band featuring Hiromi; Greyboy Allstars: and other talented artists featuring: Hazel Miller; Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks; Charlie Hunter and Jackie Ryan.
* Get into the jazz groove with a live performance from Hazel Miller on Thursday, August 5 at 8 p.m. The performance and an interview immediately following, hosted by Mark Ruffin from XM Radio, will be streamed at www.telluridejazz.org/live.
* To serve as Phish Bait for music lovers who hold tickets to the Phish shows, the event will feature Phish friendly artists on Sunday, August 8, including: the Gospel Hummingbirds; Dmitri Matheny Group; Larry Coryell Trio with special guest Karl Denson; Jackie Ryan, Charlie Hunter; and The Greyboy Allstars. Phish will perform during a two-night tour stop in Telluride, Colorado – Monday, August 9 and Tuesday, August 10 – the only Colorado performances scheduled.
* The Telluride Jazz Celebration features music in Telluride’s famed Town Park, the Raynier Institute Free Stage at Elks Park and various nighttime performances at venues throughout town – three days of day to night jazz.
