Flash Seats, Carpool Sweepstakes, and the food drive

With Colorado’s largest music event about one week away, the Mile High Music Festival gears up to admit more than half of its patrons into the event using Flash Seats, TicketHorse’s state-of-the-art paperless ticketing system.

Also today, Mile High Music Festival announces various ways patrons can participate in the festival, including the Green Your Scene Passport Program, the Mile High Music Festival Carpool Sweepstakes, and the food drive.

The Flash Seats system is just one of the ways that the 2010 Mile High Music Festival is bucking industry ticketing trends; Mile High Music festival introduced a “zero service charge” initiative this year, while other concerts and festivals around the country have made it standard practice to tack on extra fees that increase the actual ticket price by 30 percent or more. Flash Seats promises users a convenient, hassle free entrance into the festival, void of long will call lines and pointless ticket mishaps. Festival organizers are reminding patrons to bring the credit card or valid driver’s license that is attached to their Flash Seats account (if in doubt, bring the credit card used to purchase tickets), and have released a simple list of guidelines at www.milehighmusicfestival.com to help familiarize patrons with the new paperless ticketing system. Guests can also contact Flash Seats customer service at 303.405.6066 (option 2) or e-mail ticketing@milehighmusicfestival.com for assistance.

New this year, the “Green Your Scene Passport Program” brings together fans, bands and sponsors for a great cause; it’s a unique interactive festival experience that promises to raise awareness while lessening the festival’s impact on the environment. Plus, it’s a chance to win some fabulous prizes, including stage passes for Jack Johnson’s set and a meet and greet with members of the Dave Matthews Band! The gist is this: pick up your passport on site, stop at various points of interest/activity spots to get your passport stamped, and enter to win cool prizes.

For the third year in a row, Mile High Music Festival announces the “Mile High Music Festival Carpool Sweepstakes.” Bring four or more people in your car, decorate your car to draw attention to your green driving efforts, and get access into the close-in carpool lot. Each day of the event, judges will choose the best decorated vehicles, and winners will get VIP upgrades for the day for everyone in the car!

Mile High Music Festival, together with local not-for-profit Conscious Alliance, will host a food drive again this year. Patrons are encouraged to bring 10 non-perishable food items to donate. Those who do will receive a limited edition Mile High Music Festival food drive poster. Find donation tables located outside of both festival entrances. This year’s food drive will benefit the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, bringing much needed food to the impoverished community.
