Tea Time at Prairie Playhouse…

“Alice in Wonderland Jr.” Brings Adventures to Families

WHAT: “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” finds a curious little girl tumbling down a rabbit hole to join a Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, March Hare, Cheshire Cat and other familiar, fantastical characters when Prairie Playhouse's fall kids’ performance comes to the stage in September.

This one-act Disney musical production for families is based on Lewis Carroll’s classic novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, which has been enjoyed in print, on stage and the screen for more than a century. An unusual un-birthday tea party and crazy caucus race (in which everyone runs around in circles and no one wins!) celebrate Wonderland nonsense in its most entertaining form!

WHO: The show features Emma Ackerman, Elise Todd and Paige Ujvari who share the role of Alice (small-, regular-sized and tall-, respectively) and is produced and directed by Cyndy Pennington with assistance from Bekah Brown and Sarah Johnson and choreography by Jen Kroff. The production includes a cast of 55 kids (ages five to 13) from the Brighton/Commerce City/Thornton area.
