Juried Work to be Shown at Fine Arts & Crafts Festival

Artists will showcase their handmade artwork at the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival to be held Sept. 18 and 19, 2010 in Estes Park’s tree-shaded Bond Park.

Sponsored by the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies, the juried show will start at 10 a.m. each day and feature 95 artists from across the country.

The competitive jury process looks for handmade works of art that show originality of concept, design and execution. Work includes wearable art, sculpture, photography, jewelry, folk art, glass, wood, leather, metal, ceramics, oil, pencil drawings and watercolor paintings.

For more than 30 years the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies has sponsored this Festival to provide artists with a venue to showcase their work.

Artists are encouraged to contribute a piece of work to a silent auction, with all proceeds used for youth programming and a scholarship awarded annually to a high school senior for further study of the arts.
