Registration for Funshine Summer Camp begins April 14

The city of Brighton’s Parks and Recreation Department begins registration for the Funshine Summer Camp at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 14 for residents. Open registration begins at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 15. This eight-week, state licensed day camp program is offered to youth ages six through 12 years old. The program runs Monday through Friday, May 31 through July 22, at a School District 27J Elementary School in Brighton. Registration will be taken until the program is full.

Activities include swimming, crafts, gym time, sports, field trips and more. The “Regular Hours” program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $520/child. The “Extended Hours” program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and costs $700/child. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at registration.

Registration must be done in person at the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th. All forms required for registration can be found at www.brightonco.gov and look for the Funshine link under the Recreation Center’s section.
