
July heats up and there will be plenty of hot fun at Denver Zoo with Date Nights, zoo-sponsored canoe trips and Singles Safari, the summer's hottest event for Denver singles.
Date Night - Couples can enjoy an exclusive dinner in a romantic after-hours setting in July as Denver Zoo continues its Date Night series. Each Date Night runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and includes dinner, visits to the giraffe building and Tropical Discovery (July 10) or pachyderm (July 26) building, animal demonstrations and access to zoo grounds. Tickets are $40 per person in advance at www.denverzoo.org. Date Nights usually sell out, so guests are advised to buy their tickets soon!
Date Night: Surf and Conserve, Sustainable Seafood, July 10: Guests will enjoy a seafood dinner at Northern Shores and learn about smart seafood choices and their impact on the environment. Ticket sales will end at 5 p.m., July 5.
Date Night: Colorado Proud, July 31: Guests will be served Colorado Proud food products and will get the choice to add special wine pairings, at an additional cost, for each of the meal's three courses. Ticket sales end at 5 p.m., July 26.

Colorado Sea Kayak, July 8-10: Canoeing families will enjoy spectacular canyon country of the Colorado Plateau, including Ruby and Horsethief Canyons . This part of the Colorado River offers some of the best Colorado canoeing and Colorado sea kayaking and occasional small Class I+ rapids to add spice to the journey (Class I is easy; Class V is difficult). Costs are $335 for adults (13 and older); $270 for children.
Green River Canoe, July 20-24: This an unforgettable odyssey along a 60-mile section of the Green River in Utah from Crystal Geyser south of Green River and winding toward Mineral Bottom, just north of Canyonlands National Park. Costs are $355 for adults (13 and older and $280 for children.
Colorado River Wine Tasting, July 27-29: Similar to the Colorado Sea Kayak trip, this trek offers dramatic vistas to go with a taste of Colorado 's best wines. For participants 21 and older only. Costs are $355 per person.
Singles Safari, July 29 - One of the wildest swinging single mingles is Denver Zoo's Singles Safari. This year's event is Friday, July 29 and runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Singles enjoy beer, wine and appetizers in the unique, romantic setting of Denver Zoo for just $35 a ticket. The event includes fun mating games and animal encounters. Singles Safari event regularly sells out, so guests are advised to purchase their tickets soon.
