JUNE EVENTS OFFER WILD EVENING EXPERIENCES AT DENVER ZOO

Plenty of Fun at Zoo’s Two Date Nights and its Largest Fundraiser, Do At The Zoo

Denver, CO (May 4, 2011)– June is the month for love and Denver Zoo guests will love our Date Night events and the zoo’s largest fundraiser, Do At The Zoo.

Date Night – Couples can enjoy an exclusive dinner in a romantic after-hours setting in June as Denver Zoo kicks off its Date Night series. Each Date Night runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and includes dinner, visits to the giraffe and pachyderm buildings, animal demonstrations and access to zoo grounds. Tickets are $40 per person in advance at www.denverzoo.org. Date Nights usually sell out, so guests are advised to buy their tickets soon!

Date Night: Night of Natural Wonders, June 5:This first event will serve dinner on the Samburu patio overlooking the Predator Ridge exhibit. Ticket sales will end at 5 p.m., May 31.

Date Night: Pollinators Dinner, June 26. This event celebrates pollinator week featuring menu items that rely on pollinators, such as bees and wasps. Ticket sales end at 5 p.m., June 21.

Do At The Zoo, June 16 – The hottest party ticket of the summer, Do At The Zoo, returns for its 22nd annual celebration on Thursday, June 16. Presented by Haselden Construction, Do At The Zoo kicks off at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 16 for VIP early entrance and at 7 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. Funds from Do At The Zoo will be used to complete new homes for greater one-horned rhinos and Malayan tapirs in Asian Tropics. The 10-acre, $50 million conservation center will bring a new species, the greater one-horned rhinoceros, to the zoo and support conservation field projects supported by Denver Zoo. A limited number of tickets will be sold at each ticket level. Tickets for Do At The Zoo are expected to sell out quickly, so guests should purchase tickets soon at www.denverzoo.org or by calling 303-376-4860. Denver Zoo’s best gala features more than 60 of Denver ’s top restaurants and bars serving their best menu items and signature drinks. Guests also will experience music, dancing and close-up animal encounters in the incomparable setting of Denver Zoo at twilight.
