Every summer the sound of music floats on Estes Park ’s cool mountain air. Concerts are outdoors and free, so bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show.

Visitors can gather around the open fire in Estes Park ’s Bond Park every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to listen to Cowboy Brad and Kathy Fitch sing your favorite folk songs and John Denver tunes.

Music lovers will enjoy Wednesday Nights, a summer-long series of concerts at Performance Park . Featured artists on Wednesday include the Estes Park Jazz Big Band, the Kings of Swing, the Max Wagner Quartet, Elk Hollow, cowboy yodeler Vic Anderson, singer-songwriter Lisa Bell, dance band Deja Blue and singer Kim Lankford.

The Performance Park Amphitheater is also the setting for the Thursday Night Live Concert Summer Series sponsored by the Estes Park Cultural Arts Council. Don’t miss the July 4th celebration when the Estes Park Village Band performs patriotic songs before the fireworks fill the sky. The concert takes place at 7 p.m. at Performance Park .

If you don’t mind going inside for a couple hours, the YMCA of the Rockies brings an eclectic group of musicians to SummerFest 2011 at the YMCA’s Hempel Auditorium.
