Brighton’s $6 million project-of-late, “Brighton Oasis”, is dubbed as a “Family Water Park”—and that it is. The newest community wetlands houses something for everyone with distinct areas that are dedicated to children, teen, and adult attractions.
The park opened officially, this past Saturday, June 11th and will remain open annually through Labor Day. Brighton’s wettest amusement welcomes kids of all ages from communities everywhere. Pricing is reasonable and affordable [Residents: $4.75/Adult, $4.00/Kids; Non-Residents: $$6.75/Adult, $5.50/Kids].
The “Brighton Oasis” offers group pricing and amenities, too. Birthday Parties can get a group of 25 children admission, a special birthday cake, and a dedicated pavilion for the festivities for only $160. Corporations can also share in the fun by renting the entire park for a 2-hour private party. Interested groups should call the Brighton Parks & Rec Department at: (303) 655-2049.
Brighton’s Oasis Water Park holds two giant slides, one dedicated as a body slide and the other as a tube slide (the park provides). A diving area meanders into its own lazy river with a man-made current that drives some sizable waves beneath the swimmers. A kiddie pool area is not without its bells and whistles, either –literally. When the bell rings, a giant bucket pours water in torrents atop the heads of kids and adults alike. Finally, pavilion, picnic, and concession areas round out what will be a perfect day at the park for millions of kids and adults in the years to come.
Congratulations to the City of Brighton and Parks & Rec Director, Gary Wardle whose hard work, grant accessibility, and vision provided our community with another great attraction.
