Commerce City celebrates its 12th annual Derby Daze street festival on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Derby Daze has grown from a sidewalk entertainment event to three closed-off blocks filled with 100 booths, two stages, children’s events and  the “Salud Health Street” offering low and no-cost services.
Recycle Bicycles will be attending, fixing up and giving away over 100 bikes to kids.  Dr. Shannon Rich will be offering low-cost pet vaccinations.  
This year, the new community garden behind  the non-profit Partnerships for Health Communities will be offering children’s gardening activities.  
Music and cultural entertainment range from Aztec dancers and Mariachi to Alex Goot, a YouTube phenom. Derby Daze is free.  Come on by between 11 and 5 on Saturday to 72nd and Magnolia-in Commerce City which is between Quebec Street and Highway 2.  It is a free event.  
Come and enjoy the entertainment and  food from local vendors and celebration.  The event is presented by Community Enterprise and sponsored by The Denver Foundation; Commerce City One Community; Bank of the West; the City of Commerce City; Adams 14 ; and Gonzalez Insurance.
