September trips feature wine tasting, wild animals, a hayride and more

COMMERCE CITY- September is packed with exciting trips and activities for those 50 and older. Join the Commerce City Recreation Center on these great excursions!

Take in the beautiful fall colors and native wildlife on a Harvest Moon Hayride at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, and view more exotic animals, including lions, tigers and bears, at the Wild Animal Sanctuary.

Later in the month, we’ll tour an underground silo that once housed an Atlas missile and visit a working ranch, where grub and entertainment are served Old West-style. We’ll also visit the site where East met West with completion of the railroad.

Here’s a glance at September day trips for adults 50 and older. Be sure to sign up early as these events fill fast. (Prices quoted are for Commerce City residents; nonresidents pay slightly more.) Registration deadlines are typically one week before the event.
