Adams County Fair Parade

The Adams County Fair parade is coming to town on Saturday, July 30th @ 10:00 a.m. along Bridge Street in Brighton. Come out and enjoy this time honored tradition!

Grand Marshal - Bob Sakata

Bob was relocated to Topaz, Utah and then to Colorado from the West Coast following the evacuation of Japanese Americans during World War II. In 1943, he graduated from Brighton High School and began what would become his career in farming. He studied agronomy and horticulture through extension courses at Colorado State University.

It began on a small 40 acre farm in Brighton, Colorado. Since this modest beginning, founder Bob Sakata and his wife Joanna have held firm to simple beliefs: Grow the finest produce, Build strong business and family relationships, and Support the community. This quest for excellance has made Sakata Family Farms an agricultural leader in produce innovation, industry advancement, and community stewardship.
