August Programs at Anythink Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY, Colo.–July 28, 2011–Programming at Anythink Commerce City is limited for the month of August as staff visits local schools and prepares for fall programming. We have two great programs for kids to wrap up summer, and always have plenty of books, movies and music available for all ages at your local Anythink.

Special Programs

Tales to Tails

Saturday, Aug. 6, 10 am-12 pm

Come and read to our special listening dogs. They love a good story! Our dogs come from the American Humane Association and are specially trained. For children ages 6-12, this is an especially good experience for reluctant readers or kids who are afraid of dogs. Please sign up at the front desk to reserve a spot.

Family Fun Saturday: Too-Cool-for-School Supplies

Saturday, Aug. 20, 1-3 pm

This month, Family Fun Saturday highlights Children’s Read Week. We will provide breakfast and books and give parents a chance to read to their kids, or vice versa. All ages welcome.

All programs are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated. For more information, please contact Anythink Commerce City at 303-287-0063; 7185 Monaco St. , Commerce City , CO 80022 ; or visit anythinklibraries.org.
